Wow, I really don't post in here very much. Well, just to let everyone know, things are going great on my end of the world. I have homework coming at me faster than I can think and with finals ALREADY HERE I need to get in gear and finish this work. But aside from that junk, I've been spending a lot of time with my friends, well, mainly Patrick. ♥ I haven't been seeing a lot of Lianne :( But Mike and Christine have been popping in and out, which is a big plus 'cause I miss them.
This weekend, aside from my finals and that 5 page research paper (I haven't even started), I have been working on a submission for the Sequential Art department's "5 Senses" show/publication. I finished last night. You can see the pages here:

Yeah, not my best stuff, but it amused me to some degree, so maybe others will like it too.
I just can't wait until finals are over! It will be such a relief. I'm going to sleep like a baby during spring break, well after I visit my family up in New Hampshire for a couple days. Patrick's coming with me, so it should be interesting. I need to see what my sister did to my room. @.@ I've heard things...

Blargh, I have fencing practice in the morning, but I really don't feel like sleeping at the moment. Maybe it's because it's so loud in here tonight or that I'm so bored I can't even sleep.
...I played World of Warcraft today. That's how bored I was... not even my own character... and I liked it. Oh noes.
In all respects, I really shouldn't have been bored. I thought that some sequential pages were due tomorrow, but Brittany informed me that they are due next Monday. I was so overjoyed by the fact that I didn't have to pencil 4 pages tonight, that I procrastinated some more. Not good. Homework and me have not been mixing so well this quarter. It's taking a lot out of me to be vaguely interested in my Backgrounds, Props, and Structures class. As I tell everyone, I took the class because I AM so bad at perspective and backgrounds, but I'm really paying for it now. I've passed in a couple projects late because I was lazy half the time and because I didn't want to do an under par job at five in the morning and pass in crap. I really need to get on top of the projects so I don't start failing miserably. As long as I'm happy with the work I'm producing then I feel fine. Grades don't matter to me at all, but I have a feeling they mean a little something to my parents. I did manage to get a B on the second project, a Wizard's House... it would have been an A, but of course, I passed it in late. This weekend I worked on two projects for that class, including a drawing of the Ecto1 complete with Slimer eating pizza, and two pages of half-assed sequential art I'm surely to fail with. Oh well, at least I'm not behind anymore.
My Pencling and Inking II class is going okay. I still end up rushing my work, but at least I am enjoying it. John Lowe is my favorite professor, and I'm glad that I got to take him again this quarter. On Monday I skipped his class to work on some pages for my Backgrounds class later in the day. To my surprise, Lowe was actually sitting in on my Backgrounds class. I was trying not to make eye contact... but he came up to me later stating that I had missed his class. I was like, "Uh-huh..." He asked if I had skipped his class to work on the pages that were due in my Backgrounds class. When I answered with an honest "yes," he laughed and said he understood.
heh.
...and on the subject of my classes, I would also like to report that my art history choice, again, sucks. I don't know when Roman Art and Architecture sounded like a good ol' time, but it's surely hating me at the moment. Well, I'm pretty sure that it's me. I hate it at the moment... and all the time. I've never opened the book or studied. I may have like 2 pages of actual notes from the first day of class, but that's about it. The only other thing that I have to show for that class is a high score in the bob-omb mini game in Super Mario DS and a collection of ballpoint pen drawings. The midterm is on Thursday and I am royally screwed... and you know what? I don't even care. I'll see what happens and then judge my next course of actions for the next 5 weeks.
Tomorrow I get to register for my classes at 8 AM, so I'm hoping that I make some better choices... although I doubt it. Hopefully my schedule will be as follows:
Monday/Wednesday:
- Computer Coloring at 3:00 PM
Tuesday/Thursday
- Inking Techniques at 12:00 PM
- Pre-Columbian Art at 3:00 PM
Okay, because the sequential classes seemed to want to change magically overnight, my new schedule is:
Monday/Wednesday:
- The Short Story at 6:00 PM
Tuesday/Thursday
- Advanced Inking Techniques at 12:00 PM
- Computer Coloring for Comics at 3:00 PM

I knew it was going to happen. I finally caught the cold my parents had. Wonderful. My throats all scratchy like and I sound funny. I keep getting sick lately, as I had a cold last month too... although that one arrived just in time for finals. How considerate.
I'm pretty sure it's due to lack of sleep and working too hard. I should take tomorrow off. Milk the sick little kid thing a little. Mwahaha. I'm going to sleep some now. Hopefully I won't have that dream about the aliens breaking in through my window. I hate aliens, oh and butterflies. Both are bad. Very bad.
Oh, distraction. Oooh... and in the holiday spirit.

Taking a break from the madness that is homework. I didn't really want to stay up past 5:00 am last night putting together the last pieces of my "Seduction and Assassins" project, but at least it feels good to be done now. It came out okay. I don't think I'll ever be satisfied with something I do, especially when I procrastinate and have to rush like I did with this project. *whine whine whine*

With this drawing we were instructed to portray sex and violence without actually showing it or being too violent. We also had to make it during ancient Rome.
I chose the satyr guy so I wouldn't have to draw naked women... well, and it was an excuse to draw fur... and okay, okay, an excuse to draw two guys at it again. I need to change the theme of my drawings. I think I will switch to still life drawings of fruit.
