It's work at home day (on a Friday!), but why can't I get anything done?! MUST FOCUS. 5:00 PM DEADLINES.
I stayed up until 3 in the morning goofing off on the computer. I drew this:
TF2: MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC by ~jiggly on deviantART
I am enjoying all the Team Fortress 2 fanart that I've missed over the past year. Why must I get into things long after they come out? *cough* Yu-Gi-Oh. Anyways my favorite character is the Medic (German Doctor, FTW), but why must fan art make him GAY? I love me a good gay anime/manga character, but leave the Medic alone... he's too easy. XD
I have an itching to go to another anime convention in the near future. Another Anime Con (in NH) is already sold out for Artist Alley. WTF, thanks for letting me know reg was open. I think I'm going to buy a dealer's spot and take up a lot of room to sell my shit. I know I have enough stuff to fill it out. I hope it's expensive. I will get the spot out of spite.
I am jealous of all of you having fun at Otakon this weekend while I sit here in the rain (it's like 65 degrees here), with my dog who has a terrible case of the farts today, in my Dean Venture shirt. My Dean Venture shirt is awesome, BTW. I would promise pictures, but you know I never post any. Nyeh.

I'm getting excited for this weekend! We are heading out to ConnectiCon and visiting my friend Lindsay in CT... who I haven't seen in like months or something.
Anyways, I will also be doing something I've never done before. You all know that I am a mega dork, but I will be taking it to the next level this weekend. I will be in cosplay as the Medic from Team Fortress 2, a game I seriously suck at. There will be pictures in some form.
I also made a chibi medic to make a t-shirt to wear on the weekend when I'm not in costume:

It's going to feel weird going to a convention and I don't have to worry about running my AA table. I like it.

In other news we didn't have power on Thursday and Friday because a freakin' tornado touched down like 10 miles from my house. It's crazy. It like destroyed a whole neighborhood. Since when are there tornadoes in New Hampshire?

Well, the first official day of PortCon is over and we're actually doing REALLY well in the Artist Alley. Hey Lianne - we ran out of "World Ends With You" pins today! People LOVE them!
I will update more later, but for now I just wanted to post one of my commissions I did today of Doctor Venture:
( Doctor Venture & Scamp )

I'm finishing up my BUSY day at work today and getting ready to do some more preparation for PortCon this weekend. I'm going to try to update the ol' LJ with some pictures of the con when I'm done for the night in the hotel. We'll see.
Also, since I love to draw food (and eat its goodness), I created the theme for one of our renewal pages for this weekend at work:
I drew the food items. The rest is stock graphics I edited. From: DriverAgent Renewal Page
I can even turn computer software into a food theme. I like my world.

It's been such a busy couple of weeks at work and at home. :/ We've been busy at work for the past month (which means working 60+ hours a week) working on the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that is shooting a show this week in NH. One of our clients, R.J. Moreau was chosen as the builder, so we've been doing websites, apparel, press releases, advertising, etc for what feels like a year now. Now that the show is finally filming we're busier than ever... I'm so tired. It will be worth it though because I'll get to meet Ty. :3
Also, I turned 24 at the beginning of the month, which means birfday presents! Of course... Patrick got me an awesome wide format printer and a heat press. I feel so crafy and creative now!
I want to thank Lianne for the many gifties she sent me. For all you people that know Animal Crossing, she got me a RESETTI plush! MY GOD! He's so evil! XD
In between the birthday festivities and working by ass off behind a computer at work, I've been getting art together to sell at AAC. I took a day off from work to finish drawing and help with the mad rush of making items to put the art on (bookmarks, buttons, keychains, notebooks, totebags, prints, etc). I felt like I was at SCAD again, pulling all nighters to get finals done.
In the end, though, everything got done and we sold A TON of merch at the con. It was a small con (about 800 people), but we made out really well. We ended up selling out of items on Saturday, so we had to stay up until 4:30 am that night to make more items. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun.
Here are some images of our table: ( Click here for many many images and drawings... )

Quickie for a Pet Microchip ad.

IT'S STILL SNOWING HERE! :C FROWNY FACE! :C
I'm totally ready for Winter to be over now. Totally ready. It was a warm 50 degrees out yesterday, and today it's gone form rain, sleet, and now heavy snow... and there's supposed to be another storm on Monday. If the weather doesn't get better soon, I'm considering packing up and moving to the south. At least in the south there is Krispy Kreme and Hardees...
In other news, I'm getting ready for Anime Boston next weekend. I got myself a table at their Artist's Alley, but I'm no where near ready. The procrastination of college returned and I haven't even drawn anything... well a couple sketches (Link and Cooking Mama... haha!) I have some cool stuff planned, but I don't really have any prints to sell. I'll have to move it this weekend, but I also have a freelance web site to complete and a commission to do BEFORE the con.
Oh noes.
I've done worse before. If it all fails at the end I can deal with it as it comes.
Work is going pretty good, depite the fact I'm always so busy. Today I had to do some character sketches for an animation. I don't know why my boss thinks I am an animator, I even told him today "I'm not an animator. I don't know how to animate." But I still have to animate. It's going to be shitty compared to what most of the people on my LJ Friend's List can do (I'm looking at you 2D animators), but I'll try anyways.
These are the subjects for the animation: A Cat, modeled after my mom's birman "Chewy" and a dog, modeled after my sister's new pitbull (and my new roomie) "Toki Wartooth."

It's trick or treat tonight. Out of all the holidays, I hate Halloween the most. Weird, but I do.
At work today, I got to do comps for seasonal animal images for a veterinary clinic. Here's the first one I did. Yay, Christmas.

Today at work they wanted me to draw a donkey mascot, wearing boots, kicking, with the words "This Pizza Kicks Ass." I did this quick sketch in photoshop. They told me it's too much. It needs less butt and cowboy boots. WTF, cowboy boots. It's supposed to be a donkey, not a palamino. Oh well, I will do another one tomorrow.
