It's been such a busy couple of weeks at work and at home. :/
We've been busy at work for the past month (which means working 60+ hours a week) working on the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that is shooting a show this week in NH. One of our clients, R.J. Moreau was chosen as the builder, so we've been doing websites, apparel, press releases, advertising, etc for what feels like a year now. Now that the show is finally filming we're busier than ever... I'm so tired. It will be worth it though because I'll get to meet Ty. :3
Also, I turned 24 at the beginning of the month, which means birfday presents! Of course...
Patrick got me an awesome wide format printer and a heat press. I feel so crafy and creative now!
I want to thank Lianne for the many gifties she sent me. For all you people that know Animal Crossing, she got me a RESETTI plush! MY GOD! He's so evil! XD
In between the birthday festivities and working by ass off behind a computer at work, I've been getting art together to sell at AAC. I took a day off from work to finish drawing and help with the mad rush of making items to put the art on (bookmarks, buttons, keychains, notebooks, totebags, prints, etc). I felt like I was at SCAD again, pulling all nighters to get finals done.
In the end, though, everything got done and we sold A TON of merch at the con. It was a small con (about 800 people), but we made out really well. We ended up selling out of items on Saturday, so we had to stay up until 4:30 am that night to make more items. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun.
Here are some images of our table:

Well, another Happy Birthday to me as I'm 23 today! Hurrah! On Thursday some wonderful people sent me some birthday goodness through the mail. I want to give a big THAAAAAAAAAAANKS to Lianne for the awesome skully-bunny plushie as it is soft and freakin' adorable. She also sent me Harvest Moon game for the DS. I was playing it last night and realized that I'm going to need to share my Harvest Moon time with Animal Crossing. I'm only 23 and I'm running two towns. I'm amazing. XD Patrick sent me like the whole Animal Crossing town in plastic figure format. I have the little houses, neighbors, and cool teeny tiny furniture pieces. I felt like a dork that I could name all of them like the Lovely Vanity and Kiddie Couch, but it probably doesn't surprise some of you. I'm a huge AC dork.
On Friday and Saturday, my sister and I headed up to Another Anime Con in Manchester, NH. It was the first time for this con and our first time getting an Artist's Alley table. It was a very small con, like 500 people, but we were still able to make over $200 in profit from making buttons, bookmarks, key chains, and original art. The most popular of our items was anything with Kingdom Hearts characters on it. I didn't even realize how popular Roxas and Axel were. Everyday we sold out of those buttons, and on Saturday, eventually the key chains. I was surprised how people actually wanted to buy stuff with my art on it... I was even able to sell little sketches that I did in like two minutes at the con. It was great!
One of the people who ran the convention came up to me later to ask if I wanted to run the "How to Draw Anime" panel that they were having, because the person who was supposed to run it didn't show. Weird. I said I would, but he never came back so I guess they just didn't have it. Needless to say, my head got pretty fat this weekend due to how well our Artist's Alley table was received. I'm going to take this confidence to some other cons in the future. I'll definitely be attending Anime Boston in April, and maybe some smaller cons before that. It depends how my money situation works out, because I really want to go to Otakon as well in 2007. I'm going to work more with my sister on this stuff, perhaps get a little studio name going, so we'll be recognized from con to con. I also need to sell some prints. I didn't have anything ready for this weekend, but you'll be seeing a lot of new art from me in the future.
