Birthday & Another Anime Con Report
It's been such a busy couple of weeks at work and at home. :/
We've been busy at work for the past month (which means working 60+ hours a week) working on the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that is shooting a show this week in NH. One of our clients, R.J. Moreau was chosen as the builder, so we've been doing websites, apparel, press releases, advertising, etc for what feels like a year now. Now that the show is finally filming we're busier than ever... I'm so tired. It will be worth it though because I'll get to meet Ty. :3
Also, I turned 24 at the beginning of the month, which means birfday presents! Of course...
Patrick got me an awesome wide format printer and a heat press. I feel so crafy and creative now!
I want to thank Lianne for the many gifties she sent me. For all you people that know Animal Crossing, she got me a RESETTI plush! MY GOD! He's so evil! XD
In between the birthday festivities and working by ass off behind a computer at work, I've been getting art together to sell at AAC. I took a day off from work to finish drawing and help with the mad rush of making items to put the art on (bookmarks, buttons, keychains, notebooks, totebags, prints, etc). I felt like I was at SCAD again, pulling all nighters to get finals done.
In the end, though, everything got done and we sold A TON of merch at the con. It was a small con (about 800 people), but we made out really well. We ended up selling out of items on Saturday, so we had to stay up until 4:30 am that night to make more items. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun.
Here are some images of our table:

Day one of our table setup. Notice one of our Cooking Mama aprons!

"Behind the Scenes" shot. That's my sister's plush Dialga, Patrick's Porco Rosso, and my Roxas. :3

Con Goers checking out the merch!

Me looking like a dork with my newly purchased Buizel doll.

BUIZEL!!!!!!

Day #3. Newly Added Merch.
I did a lot of commissions at the con too. I was so sick of drawing by the time Sunday came. Here are some of the pencils and inks that I did on the spot.

Chrono Crusade Chibis

Dr. Orpheus

Light has a drinking problem.

The Commissioner's original character.

GOHAN!! :3

Hana Kimi Chibis. (Thanks Lianne! I only knew about this manga because I remembered you liked it.)

Kabuto looking adorable/sinister. The banana sticker is from my sister's Deathklok "cosplay." She gave out "instant gratification" banana stickers to good costumes. Her shirt was covered with them. BRUTAL!

A chubby looking Rikku.

Shikamaru Chibi.

Anthy and Utena Chibis.

This wasn't a commission, but it was something I made for the con that I really had fun with. You can check it out a little bit bigger on Deviantart.
